Hello, hello and welcome!! We are once again back with our Junior Author Contest 2021, a writing competition for children! We launched our contest last year for the very first time and recently published our 10 Imaginative Short Stories written by the winners of Junior Author Contest 2020. We were extremely excited to find out that our book made it to Amazons #4 Best Sellers under short stories and Adventure categories on Tuesday March 9th. Woohoo!!

To all aspiring young writers! Have you dreamed about becoming an author but not sure where to start? Now it’s your turn to start writing great stories and become a best selling Junior Author.

Aqua Stars Publishing is an independent publishing firm devoted to discovering new talents and sharing them with the world. Our main focus is to encourage authorship in children and youth. The Junior Author Contest is one way in which we kindle the dormant writer in children.

The Junior Author Contest is a literary competition for children under the age of 12. Each student will be allowed to submit ONE short story written in English. Ten winning stories will be selected and the winning pieces will be compiled to be published in a children’s book. The winners will not be compensated but will be given full credit for their story with their name and age in the published short story book. The winners will also receive a free copy of the book once published. Karolyn Gubbine, the illustrator of "Have You Seen My Animal Friends?" By Ayrison Ahilraj “10 Imaginative Short Stories” written by our Junior Authors and “Create Your Own Book of Awesome Stories” Junior Author workbook created by Thanuja Ahilraj, will once again be illustrating the Children's Short Story Book for this contest. The deadline for submissions is May 15th, 2021.

For teachers, the Junior Author Contest is a great way to incorporate creative writing in your lesson plans.

Parents, if you're unsure of how and where to start, check out our book on Amazon “Create Your Book of Awesome Stories” created by Thanuja Ahilraj and Illustrated by Karolyn Gubbine. This book includes creative story starter topics, story planning pages and over 100 preformatted pages to get your children writing and illustrating their very own imaginative stories.
